Over the past four years, I have been privileged to work with the nursing professionals and leadership of the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses & Allied Professionals to ensure access to healthcare for the residents of our commonwealth and support safe and equitable working conditions for one of our most valued and needed professions…nurses!
I voted for safe staffing levels in our hospitals to assure patient care and keep staff from burning out. Voted to increase penalties for work place violence against medical staff. We’ve worked to fight hospital closures and developed legislation to keep private equity with bad intent out of PA. We are working to encourage more people to enter the profession and make education affordable. It has been a tremendous experience watching our dedicated nurses fight for their patients and I am honored to partner with them to help protect and grow healthcare in our communities.

I am proud to have earned an endorsement from my friends at the AFL-CIO because of my work on the Labor and Industry Committee where I help pass many good workers rights legislation from committee and then help to pass them on the House floor. Glad to support St John’s Evangelists Summer Picnic where I ran into some old Seton Catholic school mates! We also enjoyed an order of clams and potato pancakes along with other food and great entertainment. Did not take my phone the night we were at the picnic but today I received a call I won a theme basket! I will regift this basket to another fundraiser in hopes that a child will win the Seven Dwarfs and enjoy playing make believe! Thank you to many volunteers of St. John’s for all the hard work that goes into a picnic. ... See MoreSee Less
Very nice of you. An organization like the Greater Pittston Santa Squad would share these with children. Thanks for all that you do for us.
That is wonderful
Proud to say that I received the endorsement of The United Steel Workers (USW). As a member of Labor and Industry Committee I fight to pass strong laws supporting our workforce from committee and then vote for them on the floor. I also worked with Governor Shaperio to save our steel plants here in the State. I thank the 50,000 Pennsylvania members of the USW for standing with me. ... See MoreSee Less

Thank you Jimmy! You can never invest too much in our children’s education!
It's money that the tax payers cannot afford. The teachers are not quality teachers and that is obvious by the inability to read and or do math. Not to mention they don't know geography or history. What the hell is going on? Let's hear it Mr. Haddock why did you give more money to rotten public schools.
