Fighting to Keep Our Communities Safe
“When our families aren’t safe, nothing else matters.” Jim Haddock has long been a supporter of law enforcement. As Mayor of Avoca, he hired more full-time police officer and firefighters, and hired the first female police officer. As State Representative, Jim has fought to give our police, fire departments, and emergency responders the resources and funding they need to do the job of keeping our families, friends, and neighbors safe every day.
As a proud gun-owner and the president of his hunting club, Jim has always protected law-abiding gun owners while working to pass common-sense safety reforms to keep firearms out of the hands of dangerous criminals.
Jim Haddock has a proven track record of fully funding and expanding our police force. Our communities have always been safe places to work and live, and Jim aims to keep it that way. Jim will continue to support the volunteer firefighters that our communities rely on to protect our livelihoods, our homes, and—most importantly—our loved ones. He will continue to fight for the funding to provide our volunteer fire companies with the equipment and training they need to keep us safe.
Our Main Streets
Our Main Streets are the hearts of our communities. It is where we meet friends and where we conduct our business. Jim has a proven track record as a staunch advocate for small business and economic development. In fact, Jim has been a small business owner for the last 35 years and has lived the challenges of keeping a business running smoothly. With this lived experience, Jim understands the needs of our small business communities.
As your state representative, I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure that funds and grants from Harrisburg make their way to our businesses, our schools, and our communities in the 118th.
Standing Up for Taxpayers
Whether it was during his tenure as Mayor of Avoca, a member of the Pittston school board, or as Luzerne County’s Prothonotary, Jim Haddock has worked tirelessly to cut budget expenses and increase government efficiency. As State Representative, Jim Haddock will stop wasteful government spending and hold the line on property taxes on homes. He will see to it that our tax dollars are spent wisely and that big corporations pay their fair share.”
